Hey im new to the mbworld.. I recently got rear ended in my 07 c230. Damage didnt look too bad. Other driver was going 45mph and hit me while i was stopped for traffic. It was their fault and their insurance is paying for everything. I just got a picture from body shop wondering how this is not totalled??

 

As long as the value of the car is worth more than the repairs they'll repair it. Generally speaking if the frame or engine are not damaged they normally repair it. with the exception of the differential and suspension, There really is nothing mechanical in the rear.

 

That is a W203 no? Aside from that, my friend's car got rear ended up at slow speed and the rear buckled. But the dealer is fixing the car now.
