How long should it take to heat up?

I noticed today that the coolant temp went up far faster when I had the climate control switched completely off with a cold start in the morning, ambient air temperature was 1C. The coolant gauge was reading around 80C within approximately 2 minutes of driving.

With the climate control ON, the car can take up to 5-10 minutes to reach the same temperature, and no warm air will blow out of the vents at all until I reach about 60-80C

The window defogging option, when initiated right after a cold start will only blow cold air, and will continue to do so until once again the coolant temp reaches around 60-80C (5 or 10 minutes of driving..)

Is this normal? I feel like it isn't, I've seen comments on how fast these cars can heat up. I'm worried there might be a faulty thermostat or something related. Any input would be appreciated.

edit: To clarify, with the climate control settings set to full auto, the coolant usually hasn't reached operating temperature by the time I've driven about 10 minutes. With it fully off, it reaches operating temperature in about 2 minutes. Turning the climate control on after this time will result in the coolant temp dipping below 80C again.

I don't know man. My car warms up pretty fast. It was -18 today and I set the temperature in my car at start for 26C and within a few minutes of heating up I had to turn it down to 22C since it was getting too hot. A/C was off. I only use AC in the summer

Thanks. I'll check it out with the AC off but it seems to come back on by itself after about 5 minutes. If that doesn't do it, something is wrong because it can take upwards of 15 minutes for heat to come out of the vents
