I have a 2006 c230 sport and i started having this transmission problem where every time the car is going from 3 to 4 gear and i give it a lil bit of gas the rpms go really high and then then it shifts gears and i also drove it in select gear mode and the car drove fine , i wanted to know what this could be? any ideas? and i also want to know if its safe to drive, will the tranny get messed up if i continue to drive it?

It's likely that the transmission fluid is low.
