W204 Manual Transmission won't go into gear
Hello all.....I've searched and searched and have not had luck with finding an answer. This morning got in my 09 C300 Sport manual trans. Rolled out of my drive way, shifted into 1st, then 2nd, then approaching a stop sign, when I pushed the clutch pedal in to go to neutral, the clutch pedal was much firmer than normal. Pumped a few times and was the same. I then tried to put the car in neutral from 2nd, and it would not come out of gear. I had to force it out and then just sat there. It will not go into any gear while the car is running. If I turn the car off, I can shift into any gear. If I try to start the car in a gear, the car will barely turn over. If I start it in neutral, it turns over fine. 70K miles on the car. Not making any odd noises, not leaking anything. Everything seems normal except for the obvious. Thoughts on what is going on here? Thanks in advanced.

Thanks for the info tekfoc.....is a failed slave or pressure plate expected on these cars at 70K? The car has been pristine to me with zero issues until this. No warning signs....smooth shifting, etc. Just instant random failure today.
