Service B

Is service B really worth the cost? Or should I just get my oil changed?

Check your service manual and see what Service B has listed for your car at your current mileage interval and you can decide from there.

Keep in mind, that skipping stuff can give your dealer a way out of honoring warranty claims if you're still under your 4 year/50K mile warranty or extended warranty.

Every service is worth it. If the stealership is gouging you too much on price, then find an independent MB shop that has a master MB tech to do it. I'd highly recommend sticking to everything that is laid out in the service manual as to what needs to be done at what times. German cars are very particular about their maintenance schedules, and design their cars around them.

Is 4 year / 50k miles the normal factory warranty that comes standard with all MB's? I purchased my 2013 C250 used and was told is had warranty still untill 30k miles... It was not purchased at a MB dealer so the sales guy may have been wrong. Thanks

Yeah all new MBs are covered under a 4 year/50K mile "new vehicle" warranty. This is transferable to any new owner. So you're covered for 4 years after that car shipped or 50K miles, whichever happens first.

A quick call to MB Customer Service can do it. Likely using the i button in the car while driving even.

I would also consider taking it in if you have any open campaigns as those are free under warranty to resolve. MB Customer Service should be able to tell you if there are any open campaigns on your VIN. You can also chat with them on mbusa.com.
