2013 C300 power seats
Hello
I have a 2013 C300 and it has a power drivers seat and the seat controls are on the side of the seat. How difficult would it be to add memory seats? I was just in a rental C250 today and it had the seat controls on the drivers door with memory buttons 1, 2 & 3. Would my car possibly be prewirwd for this inside the door and could it be as easy as adding the control on the door? I was hoping it was and perhaps buying the door piece from a salvage yard. I would like this memory seat feature if it would be a simple install.
Perhaps one of the experts on the forums could shed some expertise and advise on this?
Thanks

What are the odds of my car having the wiring already in the door to add this to my car?
If it did have the wiring in place would any other modules or anything else be required to add it? Or is there just a setting that could be enabled to get memory seats after the door buttons were installed?

It would be pretty involved IMO. Even if it were pre-wired, you would still need to purchasethe door trim, seat switch, seat module and the programming. Not to mention you mayhave to also program the steering column module so it can use the “easy entry”feature. It could get rather pricey.

The programming would be the most expensive part, I think. You can be entirely confident in your ability to purchase the new door trim, new door controls, any sort of wiring, etc. But you better be ready to write a blank cheque to a MB tech for the proper programming of any of it, because it is likely that they have never done the retrofit before.

Would likely be cheaper selling your current car and buying one of similar age with the P1 Lux package. If there is one thing I learned via this forum is it is cheaper to get the features you want in the car as a package than to retrofit them later; at least for MB.

That's unfortunate. I was hoping it would be simple given that my car already has power seats with controls on the side of the seat. It would just be nice to have the controls on the door as well with the additional memory feature.
