Melted eyelid cables

I have one bulb on the left eyelid and one from the right that don't work (I get two annoying burnt bulb messages on the cluster). The bulbs (OEM) are fine but the wiring's insulation has cracked and completed fallen apart (on one the cables are completely stripped naked).

The only way to fix it that I can think of is opening the headlights but I really don't feel comfortable doing so. Is there some other way to fix them?

I thought of running a new cable directly from the harness but I have no clue which wire is which.

Any tips?

Is the car still under warranty? If so I would bring it to the local MB deal to have them fix it.

From what I hear to open the headlight housing is kind of a pain, and never goes back together right. So, time to upgrade to some custom headlights! Would be my suggestion lol.

Same here....I pulled the assembly out and used liquid electrical tape to extend the life. That was about 3 yrs ago and they are just now giving me problems again.
