2013 C300 Internet Connection, Apps and COMAND memory
2 questions
I have a Canadian 2013 C300 and I would like to get the Internet working in it and add apps. I have it enabled through the hidden service menu and I have the globe icon on my COMAND screen but I can't get it working with my phone. I use an iPhone 6 and my ISP is Rogers. Every time I try to enter a website address I get the message "Connected phone does not support data communication".
Can anyone confirm if the iPhone 6 will work with a Canadian Mercedes for internet? Can someone give me a hand with the setup? Maybe I just don't have one of the setting correct.
My iPhone connects fine to the car and I can use it for handsfree calling and bluetooth audio.
Secondly, I have a very large address book in my iPhone (5000+ contacts) and it appears that the car does not have enough memory to save all of my phone contacts. Is there a way to expand the memory?
Thanks in advance
I understand the tethering is done via bluetooth. In Android, i had to install an app called BlueDUN that gave me the proper BT profile. I remember reading that in IOS the BT profile was built in. Maybe you need to connect, then go to your connection settings to enable it - or maybe apple removed it in later versions of IOS since they're now trying to push that apple car connect tech instead.
