My first Mercedes
So I just picked up a 2012 C350 in blue with 88000km on it. AWD with 7G transmission. I genuinely love the solid feel of the interior and punchy v6. I have been reading these forums for months now deciding between the CLS550, E350 and this but as I live in a metropolitan city decided space was a bigger determinant. The BMWs just seemed to seriously lack interior build quality and personality and the Audis are pretty but a little dated. The C interior is excellent compared to the Kia look of the 2011 set. I fell in love with the 2011 AMG C63 when test driving it but couldn't get over the chintzy center console.
The car is a neat little package, love the panoramic sunroof and the 18" amg rims look spiffy. It's got a gorgeous cream and black interior too. I just picked it up yesterday and the blower motor was on the way out so had to have it replaced this morning. Having come from an A4 I know these cars are tempermental but if you treat them right then I expect them to give solid years of service. I had my A4 for just over 10 years and it was a 1997 model.
These forums are a wealth of info on these cars and their problems. I will try to post back with how reliable (or not) the car ends up being as occassionally the threads degenerate into b##ch fests over how bad the car is or 'you shouldn't have bought it if you didnt have the dough, dummy' comments.
So far so good. I will get the tranny fluid changed once a suitable indy place is found that understands these cars as it seems they tend to be relatively princessy compared to other cars.
Cheers guys. Happy to be one of the group finally.

A warm welcome. You'll always remember your first. Mine was a 1968 230. 6 cyl, mtex, on the showroom with 2000 miles. Out the door price...$4850. The dealer installed MB AC the next day for $400. Well before the German mark took off.
