How to hide 4 license plate holes?
So I removed my front license plate but have those big 4 ugly screw holes on front bumper. Any ideas how to hide them?

Ahhhh I love you "no homo"! I've kept some stupid plate on the front of my car cause I could not find any and did not want to pay a bunch of money to have a body shop fill and paint the bumper.. Thanks!!

I actually just bought a bag of retainers at Napa for $5 and a can of black duplicolor. So a total of $11 dollars fixed mine.
I was looking for a long time and 4 of those bumper plugs are like $50. It was a bit pricey compared to just being 4 plastic plugs IMO.

Yeah it does seem a bit high in price. I still need to take my front plate off to see how many holes. I assume it is a total of 4 like yours above. My care is Slate Gray Metallic so I may be able to find a similar color in the store. What size retainers did you get and are the snug so they don't fall out? Thanks

Uhh I don't remember, but I'll check the garage tomorrow for the bag and part #. There is like 10 in a bag.
I'm sure you'll be able to find some color that'll make it blend in.
Yeah they have like a hook design so they expend. Pardon my lack of correct name but English is not my first language. So they sit there securely and easy to remove in case you need to replace or decide to get the bumper filled and repainted. Mine has been in for a good 6 months I would say.

Ok sounds great. If you could just post the part name and number from napa when you find it that would be great. Then Ill run to my local store and grab and bag and do some spray paint shopping also

Just picked up the last pack at my local Napa $5.49 + tax. Also said it's 10 pieces but there is actually 12 in my bag lol. Then went to Pepboys and got the closest color match I could to my car. For those who have a black car you probably won't even need to paint them since they are glossy black already.

Well that ended up being a waste lol. Painted 4 of the plugs. Let them dry then removed the front plate mount. Turns out the holes in the bumper are way smaller then the plugs.. And on top of that who ever put a front plate on prior put a screw in to long and put a small hole in the bumper! Gerrrr

Wow that sucks! Sorry to hear that! Weird I had the OEM bracket, guess they just used some big *** screws on mine.
I think they have smaller plugs at napa as well. But doesn't really help the stupidity of the person who mounted your bracket. 😣

Yeah so oh well. Also minor scratches all the way around where the bracket was. Tried to wax and buff out but still visible. I'll goto a local shop I know and get a quote to fix the 5 small holes and paint. If it's not a decent price I'll end up sticking it back on and find a front plate

There's an old thread...
I came across an old thread where someone found appropriate sized plugs from lowes and just used touch up paint. I did it and it worked out well for me. Here's the link to my results.

I just did this mod today. Bought several different size plugs from the drawers at Ace Hardware (about $.25 each) and used the one that fit best. I sanded the top with ultra fine grit sandpaper and used some of my touch up paint. Before install, I carefully used a straight razor to trim off the hole surround that was bulging out (from the license plate screw) to make it flush. Worked out great! Here are a few photos.
The plug I ended up using.
I painted 3 and used the 2 best.

I was fortunate with my car, despite living in a two-plate-state, the dealer honored my request to not install my front tag holder.

Bought mine used and it was originally registered in California. So it had the OEM bracket.

Not sure the size of the plug. I just matched the hole size with different nails at home, then compared the nail to the plugs when I was in the store. It was the Ace in Huntington Beach.
