Hello! Future W204 Owner! Socal!

hello guys! as the title says i'm getting ready to purchase a 2010 w204 from SouthBay Mbenz . would also like to say i'm glad to be part of mbw. so i bring to you today a few questions! any feed back would be highly appreciated.

1 - i'm purchasing a used 2010 c300 blk on blk for around 21k out the door with taxes. it has 56k miles is this is a good buy?

2 - whats the difference between c300 and c350? other then .5 of a liter.

3- the vin of the car is WDDGF5EB5AR089393 , can anyone tell me if its worth it by decoding the vine.

thanks again!

1. 21k for 56k miles seems a lot. Does it have 7inch pop up screen, HID, back up camera, heated seats?

2. c300 has 228hp and c350 has 268hp. c300 0-60 is about 7.1 seconds vs 6.1 on the c350. Surprisingly, you save only about 1mpg on the c300 vs c350. If you can find a c350, that's what I would go with. But for the same price you might be able to find a c300 that fully loaded but it won't be as fast.

3. Vin decoder will tell you what options the car has so if you dont know what it comes with, it's good to have the vin decoded. Try asking the dealer for it.

1) I think that's a pretty good buy honestly. Just double check for services (that can make or break the car) And for mile it seems really good. I got my car around that mileage
2) My friend has a C350 and yes it is .5 of liter and it does make a difference performance wise. If you can, go for it but for most people 3.0 v6 is plenty
3) https://mbworld.org/forums/vindecode...GF5EB5AR089393

Hope this helps.

PS what kind of car are you looking for? a daily? any interests in modifying it?

I think it's an average price. Just be aware these cars are very expensive to maintain and repair. You might want to consider an extended warrantee.

Not if you have tools and some experience, you can maintain & repair a Mercedes car. That's what I do and it saved me hundreds of dollars.

1) Seems a bit much for the mileage. Mine was 19k with 46k miles.

2) All the numbers mean is what motor is in the car. So that is the difference.

3) decoding any VIN is worth it. It will tell you what came on the car out of the factory. You can then check and make sure those features are present and working before you buy.

If you can afford a bit more go for a 2012 facelift model.

From what I saw when shopping the price jump for him would be about 7k or more though. Low mileage 12's were around 28k fully loaded with low miles but we really liked the fresh interior and slight aesthetic changes of the facelifted models. We opted to go to the next level and wanted the new engine so started shopping 13+ and next thing you know we landed in a 14 with 8k miles
