Unhappy Tires

Hi New to the site but not the cars. Previously owned 1995 E 300, 2003 and ML 500 AMG ( personal Fav )
I have a 2010 MB C 300 4matic luxury. I need to replace tires, again, currently Bridgestone potenza RE97AS, they sucked 225/45R17 91H
Looking for recommendations for replacement.
All Season HP -
Summer High HP -
Can I increases tires size for wider stance and handling?? Recommendation for largest tire size while using factory 17" rims.
Thanks, looking forward to responses
Herb

check out continental extreme contact DWS. i had it on my c350 sport with the stock 18" rims and now on my e350 coupe on 20's. i'm really happy with it... very predictable wet or dry, even rated for snow.
it's available in 235/45 or even 245/40 17, depending on how wide your stock rims are you may still be able to make it fit. overall tire dia. is around 25"+/- so your speedometer won't even get affected... if ever, very negligible...
good luck!

After my stock conti's went out, I put on a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 Max Performance tires. They were on sale on TireRack for basically 300 shipped to the house after the 70 dollar rebate.
The Asymmetric 2 tire is no longer for sale at about 300 after rebate, nor is rebate still offered though.
Your best bet would be to purchase whatever Max Performance Summer tires are cheapest right now.
Some of the C63 guys run the Hankook V12 tires, so that's probably an option for you too.

I also have installed these tires on my car. They offer excellent wear and have excellent handling and ride qualities
