You pretty much stated the obvious that they ride harsh. So stop being a ****. Other posters atleast said something that is useful.

Re-read some of the posts D Bag and maybe you will comprehend they are saying the same thing as me. It appears you are angry at me because you didn't take a sufficient test drive and research before purchasing.

Well considering i love my c class and did plenty of mods to it. The thread was asking a simple question. And you posted a troll answer. The posting of the thread was asking if there is a mod to make it a little smoother, not the car as a whole, i knew it was a rough ride hence smoother tires and strut bar.
So like the saying goes "don't feed the trolls". So i'll leave you with one comment. Take your **** to a honda forum and refrain from replying to my threads.

Back to the topic,

There is a thread of a long island company in oceanside (near me) that is thinking about making coilovers for 4matics. You think that'll lessen the side to side movement of the car.

Okay this clearly got off topic. @Xjaymzzx if you want actual answers then don't tell people to GTFO if they didn't give you an answer that you liked.

Secondly it sound like any car you get it will be a harsh ride for you.

Lets figure some things out about your "harsh" ride.

Wheel size?
Tire size?
Have you done wheel balancing?
Tire type(brand)?

Potholes every where? Bad Road conditions? Those all play a factor in your "harsh" quality of driving.

I already got brand new wheels and new michelin pilot sport a/s 3s. Was looking for more suspension upgrades that fit a 4matic.
So i guess "buy a new car" isnt close to an answer to the question of the thread ("what upgrades to get a smoother ride besides tires and strut bar?") So i Told him to stop trolling. I mean unless u consider it an "actual answer".

This is my first Mercedes.

I was shocked how smooth the ride was.

I am, however, tired of the studded snow tires and long for the day when I can get them off and get back to the wonderful smooth Michelin's.

Rumor has it that Spring is a few weeks away.

This is an excellent point.

The US has had an extraordinarily cold and snowy winter and the roads locally are a disaster. (thanks, Global warming).

This contributes to the rough ride that we may all be experiencing, along with my own complaint of the snow tires, which served me well, but I just want to return to the Pilots!

2018 C300 4 Matic
This may be of no help, however, it did help me. After I purchased my C300 Sport 4 Matic, I felt that the ride was harsh. It was certainly harsher that I expected. I thought that I might have purchased the wrong car. But, I have to admit that I liked how the car handled. Long story short, I decided that I needed to drive the LUX version of my car and I finally found a lightly used one at the dealer to test drive. It did have a softer ride. It did not handle nearly as crisply as my Sport. I decided that my stiffer ride was more than compensated by the better handling. I've gotten used to the ride and have decided that I didn't buy the wrong car - for me. YMMV.

That's cold as ice.

Are these new coilovers just a small outfit building them out of a shed? Not saying independents can't make quality product but would guess they likely don't have the R&D that the big names have.

This is an easy answer. Buy the Luxury edition of the C.

Sport editions are for the "Performance" feel. Luxury are for the drivers that want the Mercedes "Cloud" ride.

It's all about preference.

Actually ive ridden in cars that are smooth rides. The original post is "is there any suspension upgrades for a 4matic c class". since the obvious buy a new car is a Moot point

Hmmm, that sucks man. I'm sure there are aftermarket springs that you could fit to help out.

If anything you might be able to fit the OEM springs of a luxury edition onto your car. Idk if that would work though. I can't imagine why it wouldn't in theory.

If mods can delete this thread, it would be much appreciated. This thread was made to ask people what suspension upgrades are there for 4matics and it turned into a thread about buying a new car

Just ordered SS springs. Will report back on expected stability within a corner and ride quality in a week or so.
