Full leather interior
Just curious, how many of you sprang for the full leather interior package on your 204s? MB-Tex is great, my 2001 W203 C, has it, and partial leather, and while it wears extremely well, there's nothing like the leather interior. Also nice that you get a full power passenger seat with memory, and power lumbar.
What do you all use for leather care?

It does a nice job conditioning, cleaning and even strengthening the leather.
I am considering the use of a superior product but not until more research. It is "Bear Guard" which is Maine Beeswax and....get this, bear fat.
It is wonderful for leather boots and leather items though it will darken, slightly, light leather.
I have old school, tougher than tanks, thick leather hiking boots that will make your feet cry during break in period (months, not weeks) and it has done wonders for softening and strengthening the leather.
It's been used for more than 100 years and some high end shoe makers have re-branded it for their own sales.
Beeswax and animal fat (oil) has long been used to persevere fine leather.

When you have a few minutes to kill, just drop by your Mercedes dealer and look at the leather seats in a new E400 (I think that's what it was). Fabulous.
My dealer seldom has a C Class with leather on his lot, but, my next one will have leather.

Yes, I sprung for leather in my December 2008 C Sport, bought new, along with a bunch of other really good stuff like Harmon Kardon 5 channel amp and 10 speaker system, navigation etc etc. Cost a lot but really appreciated over the last 5 years.
The leather is light grey in colour and has held up very well. A little bit too "patterned" but the alternative "Designo" smooth leather was just that too much more! Has to be cleaned fairly often, but its a nice job and very rewarding. Would recommend it every time. Had Alcantara / leather in my previous Audi and wasn't that impressed.

Perforations and supposed durability were the reasons I chose MB-Tex. I personally am not a fan of the flat look of the leather in the W204. I wish the full leather had been perforated
