Alright well the EIS went out on our 2008 c300 and ive been trying to find A way around taking it in to get it repaired by the dealership. I know it is very unlikely that i will be able to fix it but I was doing some research and on Youtube watching this video (
) I looked in the comments and someone had said "Friend the eis is not damaged you need to solder three pins inside eis and then it will work like new". Ive havent found anything really about people doing this but Ive come to the forum just to see what yall say. Also im curious if any of y'all have done A EIS repair your self? I know it has to be reprogrammed but I am just curious if anyone has found the fault causing the failure of the EIS and repaired it at home.
