My 2008 c300 showed every syntom of a failed eis and sat for about a week. I found out I still had a little bit of warrenty left so I called up mercedes and they offered to cover our and tow it for me. Once the truck got to my house and we had talked to the driver he said he knew of something that might fix it. He took the key and cleaned out the sensor on the end that you insert in to the ignition. When he did that the damn thing started right up no problem. He said he sees that alot so hopefully this can help some people who were freaking out just like me about a failed eis. Before you call mercedes at least try it because you never know.
