Coilover Install Quote
I was quoted $675 to install my H&R coilovers plus an additional $125 for an alignment.. Does that seem high or right around normal for the install?

That seems a bit high... but it depends on the area. In SoCal we have too many Benz specific tuners that are willing to do this for around $250-$300. Alignments at the dealer will be a better bet and are around $100 here. But we have many many lowered Benz's here so I guess supply and demand!

Yeah I will be bring my car to the MB dealer for my alignment since I know someone there that will do it for just about nothing. The first MB shop I went to told me they do not touch anything aftermarket or that's not OEM.. The 2nd shop I have called twice and sent 2 emails and still have not herd anything back. They either don't care or are very busy. Who knows! I installed my SS springs on my 2008 C300 by myself, I may just end up doing the coilovers myself also since I don't want to pay almost $700.

FYI, coilovers are easier to install than springs. It's basically one less step because you don't have to disassemble the shock/spring assembly. That being said, $675 is a little high but about par for a high-end shop. I'd think you could find a place for $400 if you keep searching.

Yeah I'm getting another quote from a different shop tomorrow. I still need a spring compressor to remove the factory top hats and bump stops to use on the new setup since the H&Rs reuse the factory ones. So it's still a PITA like the springs

install for coils shouldn't go over 500, and even then, that's a very high price. I just got my C300 sport rwd aligned for $40 this past Saturday. Look for independent shops, the prices for their work is just at good and much cheaper than bigger shops. Good luck!

That quote for $675 install and $125 alignment was from a small independent shop. They work on both foreign and domestic cars. The shop I'm getting a quote from tomorrow is a old service manager and old head formen from my local MB dealer that I use to work at that opened their own MB and BMW shop
