What gear oil and filter,and engine oil what the best for w204 c200 cdi
You should use the MB approved oil for modern diesels . The MB spec # is 229.51 .
Take a look in your manual & you will be able to confirm this information.
I suggest picking an oil from the list below which is sold at a resonable price in your locality.I have used Mobil one ESP 5w30 to date in Australia.
If you have a particulate filter make sure you use an oil to suit.
MB sheet 229.51 approved oils; low ash long life Mercedes pioneered this new spec for passenger cars with diesel engines with exhaust particulate filters, and gasoline engines, and longer service life than the 229.31 oils. The spec was introduced in 2005. Change intervals increased to 20,000 kilometers. Based on ACEA A3 B4 and C3.
