C250 filter
Is an oiled drop in K&N replacement filter okay and safe for the 1.8 T ? I know some cars don't like them. Figured if I have to replace the stock one soon might as well get one that stays clean longer.

Some have experienced problems with the oil on air cleaners affecting their air flow sensors. Take a look at the Search feature at the top RHS of the 204 page. You will have plenty of hits.
Maintaining a European car requires quite a different mindset . To keep out of trouble it is best to conform to their specifications including oils,coolant,all filters & spares. The forum search feature will give you a lot of information . Royal Purple does not fit the specs.
Make sure for trouble free running your auto gearbox is serviced every 39,000 miles & drain the torque convertor too or flush if has no drain plug. Refill with only MB spec oil.
It is good to find a trusted serviceman who knows European cars.
