Hood warning indicator on
I have a 2008 C300 w204 sport and the hood open warning indicator on the dash will not shut off. I have checked and replaced the switch on the left front hood latch and still the warning of hood open comes up. Does anyone have any idea why or what may be causing this issue.

I had this issue when it was -20C out after opening up the hood once. I believe one of the hood latches might have been a little frozen and not 100% closed when I closed the hood again. I solved the issue by spraying the internals of the latches with some silicone lubricant, hasn't happened since but it hasn't been -20C since either.
