C220 CDI Brake Pads

My 2009 C220 CDI front brake pads are due for replacement. Apart from the Mercedes original pads can someone please recommend me a good brand I can use to replace the original ones without degrading the performance of the braking, ABS and traction control, etc. Thank you.

I also need to get my front pads and rotors replaced soon.

I'm not too sure about your 220 CDI but I remember many members recommending Akibono pads. I have brought them up in the past with my mechanics and they have always said that aftermarket pads squeak, squeal, and always have problems. I've stayed away from aftermarket and gone OEM because of their opinion on it. I've always wanted to try them though, maybe give akibono a look.

Mine don't need doing yet but here are some Bendix.

I would compare the price to OEM & if there is little difference buy the OEM.

My concern in buying other than OEM is that whether the pads are compatible with the rotors . I would not like hard pads chewing out my rotors earlier than necessary.

I would recommend the Akebono pads highly. I put front ones on in Feb this year and there is really no difference in stopping power. The big difference is the cost and the fact that there is very little dust. The rear ones will be done as soon as we get some cooler weather.
