Anybody work for mercedes service dept?
I need some advice on the software version for my gearbox on a w204 c200 cdi.

I read in a few places that there was a gearbox software update on the 5speed auto box to get rid of jerky and delayed gear changes.

Mercedes want £79 first to do an unnecessary diagnostic check and then they may need to do "further diagnostics".

Frankly i find it a joke to charge ij such a manner.

I do not mind paying for the gearbox software update but I know the diagnostics will come up clear because it was done not long ago and the car is now running sweet

Could someone please tell me if there is in fact a software update for the 5speed auto box?
