Weird low rumble but only at 50-60 mph
My C350 have a weird sound, no matter what tires i have on the car, it always have a low frequent uneven rumble from 50 to 60 mph. theres no sound if i go slower or faster
No matter how smooth the tarmac is, i can hear the sound. i have brand new tires on the car, 2 days old. and still the sound is there.
Do i need to get new front discs (sounds like its comming from the front) or is it my wheel bearings????
Anyone????

Sounds more likely to be wheel bearings but the noise should be there at all speeds.
Do you have a 4 matic ? Could be transfer case or shaft joints ?

Pity you cannot tell which side of the car the noise is coming from. Can a passenger tell?
I wonder whether it is a damaged rim but there should be vibration associated with the noise ?
Are the pads dragging on the rotors . The wheel would be hot if so.
To check if it is bearing noise I would jack up each wheel & rotate, listening carefully. A piece of steel rod or similar placed near the wheel bearing & then firmly to your ear whilst rotating should tell the story. A stethoscope would be easier. Compare each wheel bearing.
Good luck.
