How To Remove Lights Under Rear View Mirror?
I couldn't find this on any of the LED swap tutorials or anywhere else. I want to swap out the bulbs in the rear view mirror (the ones that shine straight down, I guess you call them map lights?)
I changed the rest of my interior lights to LEDs and now these look yellow compared to the others. Not a big deal but I already have the bulbs. I just can't figure out how to get in to change them.

I've been thinking of swapping my interior lights as well. To get to the map (or "reading") lights you have to unhinge the overhead control panel with the dome light. Hopefully the pic helps... Haven't done it myself yet so can't say how easy this is. From reading the German text you want to avoid removing the electrical connector or else a reprogramming might be necessary (might only apply if you actually swapping out the overhead, not sure).

you better open the complete thing. use a master card or something to to remove the mirror glass.
you can open up the 2 small spaces where the light are but press a little too hard and the socket will be pushed out of its place and bang around freely when you drive and make you crazy
