I hear a very loud and unsettling creaking/squeaking noise from my transmission every morning on cold start when I reverse, come to FULL STOP, and then go into drive. There is a noticeable delay before drive engages and I can move forward. I have shown the MB dealership multiple times and they said it was normal. I have tried waiting a minute in reverse at full stop before switching to drive and the noise still persists. I have also tried going into neutral from reverse, and then drive from neutral, and still the noise shows. I don't get the noise if the car has been driven within a few hours. My transmission doesn't seem to have issues performing.
