Engine upgrades?
Is there a cold air intake kit for the c220 w204 2012?
Also what would be a good performance exhaust system and remap to go on top of this?
Opinions would be appreciated as to whether this would be worth it as well....
Any thoughts on tuning boxes.....?
Cheers

Hi,
If you have a C220 CDI then there are remaps available and also tuning boxes - if you must go that route. My C220 was remapped from 170 PS to 212 PS (168 bhp to 210 bhp)and from 400 Nm torque to 499 Nm (295 ft/lbs to 368 ft/lbs). It needed the ECU to be reprogrammed as, at the time the ECU was not able to be reprogrammed via the OBDP diagnostic port like several other vehicles I've had done.
It was done by AMD Tuning who're based here in the U.K.
Never seen a cold box air intake option nor an exhaust upgrade that was worth the money. Diesels need very special work on exhausts and the power output to be gained here is not really worth it.
Fuel economy still good as long as you don't pedal-to-the-metal it everywhere and the drive-train has held up well over the 3 years since I had it done.

No mods are really worth it on these cars other then some drop in k&n filters(Stock box is already a cold air intake) and a tune/Remap. Exhaust is just for sound, you wont gain anything noticeable unless you go headers and a full exhaust which will cost you over 2 grand all together for 10hp so value per hp is definitely not worth it, if you want more sound just delete the resonator or change the mufflers.
