It could also be the grill, wish we saw before and after to compare the gap

Yeah.. I have a feeling that the grille does not attach to the top of the hood like some of the 2 piece grille's that may be why the gap is there

I'm thinking it's because of the grille. There was a gap before the 507 hood with just the grille and OEM hood. I have the OEM grille I can change out, but I like the look of the car too much right now and the gap does not bother me.
this is with the OEM hood

Looks fantastic, definitely get it painted to match. IMO don't do the vinyl wrap on the hood, it will look really ricey and tacky. From a few feet distance I don't think the hood gap between the grille is that noticeable. Up close, it's a bit more noticeable.

But unless you have a trained eye for these things it's lost on the majority of people. I wouldn't really sweat it.

Yeah its just the price of getting a aftermarket grille. Gap does not look bad though. Can't wait to see it painted

Took the hood to get painted this morning. I'm having them correct the gap as much as possible. I ended up buying 19" Euromag EM2 rims in hypersivler. I am sending them to cali next week to be chromed. Cost more then the rims to chrome them, but the rims were pretty cheap to begin with.

Why are you sending them to be chromed? Don't like the hypersilver color?

Planned on just keeping it in case I eventually sell the car I can replace the stock hood and sell the black series hood. 350$ to paint including fixing a couple small dents I had on the passenger door and rear passenger door.

I don't have hyper silver anywhere else on the car so I did not want any color on the rims. I think it will be worth the cost when it's done.

body shop called me saying it would be done Saturday. I told them not to worry about the gap in the hood. The guy seemed unsure if he could do it and was going to charge 150$+.

Wheels are getting sent to Cali on Monday.

Hey MyManDan26, how do you like the hood so far? I'm thinking of ordering one for my C250 coupe. Anymore pictures to update us? Also one big question...I'm assuming those vents on top of the hood are non-functioning, so how does any rain-water or car wash water drain out from there??
