Awful noise and car hesitates - thoughts ?

Hi Guys.

I have a 2007 W204 C200 Kompressor with the 1.8 184 bhp engine. It has 67000 miles on the clock and a full service history.

Car drives and sounds fine, but when I give it full throttle it makes a terrible noise and hesitates / backs off power when it reached approx 4500-5000 rpms.
afterwards the car only runs on 3 cylinders and shakes and vibrates horribly. If you pull over and stop the car, take out the key and then insert the key and start the car again, it starts perfectly and runs fine on all 4 cylinders. (?!)

I have read, that these cars have timing chain issues and it does have a small rattle on cold start-ups which disappears after 1-2 seconds but I figured this to be normal due to no oil pressure for the first couple of seconds.

Here is a video of the problem, when it happens:

ANY insight or thoughts would be great !

The service reports should indicate that the chain/belts should have been looked at at 60k miles. If not it's time for a trip to the dealer methinks.
