Tach problems on cold start
I picked up a 2012 C300 sport this past October and everything has gone perfect so far. Am just about ready to take it in for my 40k service but have started to notice something that seems odd that I never noticed prior to a couple of weeks ago.
When I start the car in the mornings the tach jumps up to about 1200rpm and bounces around between 900-1200 for about 45 seconds to a minute before settling back down in the normal 6-700 range. I may have just been ignorant to it in the past but noticed it on a nice morning when I rolled the windows down and heard a louder than normal engine idle. Is this normal for my car or is there something wrong that I should get in for service ASAP? I'm not really much of a car guy so any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Hawks didn't look too bad last night, but 3OTs made it a great game to watch, hopefully they can pull through down the stretch here.
Did have another questions that I didn't want to start another thread on, but it is a little off topic from this one. I am coming up on my 40k service, and from reading through some of the other threads believe that I should have a transmission service done with this service which should include a transfer case flush? Again, not a car person but trying to understand the ins and out of my car. How will I know if they actually perform this service compared to a normal transmission fluid replacement? I have seen that there is an additional amount of fluid used for this one 8 vs 6 if I read and remember right. Anything else I should be out on the look for with this 40k one that I am about to go in for?
Again, thanks in advance!
And yeah that was a crazy game last night! I loved the part when Shaw thought he was playing soccer!!! He cellyed hard after that no goal!
