2008 - 2011 C Class oxidation ground pin recall
As the owner of a 2008 C350 4Matic, I recall receiving something in the mail approximately a year ago from MB Canada advising of a recall on the vehicle and that when the parts arrived, I'd be receiving a second letter. On my way back from work the other day, I remembered about this and called my local dealership to let them know that I recall receiving this letter, but never receiving a follow-up. They told they never heard of a recall on this vehicle and pulled up my file (I bought the car from them) just to confirm. I did not have the letter with me when I placed the call to the dealer, but I've found it now, and it does specify that MB Canada would be sending a follow-up when replacements started being shipped to the dealerships.
Has anyone with a vehicle within the affected years received a follow-up letter yet or had the repair already done? I was starting to wonder that maybe I never received the follow-up letter, but that the dealer would at least be aware of the work that needed to be done on my vehicle, so now I'm confused.

I had the recall work on the tail lights done last fall while it was in for unrelated work. I didn't even get the recall letter until after the work was performed.

Thanks for your response, I appreciate it. It's the weekend, so I can't follow-up with MB Canada, nor the dealership, but the situation's got me pretty frustrated. The lady at the dealership service desk had absolutely no clue about the recall, and despite me telling her "I remember it said unless I'm no longer the owner, and my mailing address hasn't changed, I just needed to wait for the follow-up letter informing me that the replacement parts have been received", she kept telling me that if I did indeed receive a recall letter, it was up to me to schedule my appointment.

I got the car as a CPO in September last year so it's entirely possible they had the parts in for a while (attached to the VIN) and the reason I didn't get the letter until later was because of the change of ownership.
That said, it probably wouldn't hurt to follow up with MB Canada when you can and see what they recommend.

Will do - tired of seeing the "Check tail light" indicators randomly coming up, assuming that's the issue. I've also noticed one of the tail lights looking dimmer than the other, so it seems all related.

I never received a letter, but when I brought it up with my dealership last year when I took it in for servicing I was told that they haven't received the parts for it and I will be notified when they are ready to do the recall work.
The past few months I have been occasionally getting the check tail light warning on my dash. I have a major servicing coming up so I will ask them to do the recall work.
