Broken doorhandle
Hey, I have mercedes w204 c220 the driver door handle broke. The inside handle was "loose", there was no connection to the rod/device that actually unlocks the doors. using the outdoor handle worked fine.

You might take the door panel off to see what's going on. It might be a simple repair or not. Search the forum for DIY instructions on how to remove the panel (Try "W204 Third party component speaker upgrade") and search "C300 broken inner door handles". Replacing the entire door card can run $1000-$1600.

I've had it happen to both front doors. Drivers door 6 months out of warranty and passenger door 6 months later. MB wont come to the party for either door. It's definitely a design fault. They can be repaired but if you want to replace it you have to replace the whole door trim rather than just the handle.

Ausmb, Interested to know how you would repair them ? Are they diecast?
Wrap them in Araldite with threads of fibre for strength?
John.

Happened on mine the other day. The rear inner door handle became loose after my daughter used it to open the door to exit the car. Simple fix in my case, the linkage behind the door panel came out of its plastic / nylon retaining clip (the metal bar has a 90 degree bend at the end of it). Just snapped it back in - done in 10 mins max. No costs, just 2 torx screws under the door armrest / pull handle, then popping off the retaining clips that secure the trim to the door itself.
