My C350 Exhaust - Is it ok

Hi guys,

ok so I do the X-Pipe a while back and it sounded like this:

Then I removed the Cats. Now it sounds like this:

Inside:

Outside:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ka2g2o6any...start.mp4?dl=0

It does sound a bit tingy like an F1 car especially when I'm driving between buildings

Should it sound like that? And can I get a more popping sound from my car (it pops really nice the first 15sec in the morning with a cold start)

ps: Added some decals and some custom plates since my last post

can you make a video from the inside of you going 60km and cruising at 60km for a bit then 80km cruising a bit then 120 cruising? just want to hear if there is a mad drone from the inside when holding a steady speed.

I think it sounds awesome but won't removing the cats make you not pass the E test?

also i looked into making our cars sound like a C63 cost about 4000-5500$ crazy expensive. might as well save up a bit and buy an actually C63(used obviously)

I recall around 1998 wanting to remove the catalytic converter in my 1994 Wrangler and at the time my mechanic strongly suggesting against it, saying things like "these are sophisticated engines, you will wreck your oxygen sensors, your fuel consumption will tank, the ECU will fail" etc etc etc. He also said if I wanted to continue forward with the cat removal, I'd have to get someone else to do it because it was illegal and he didn't want to risk his business over that.

That warning struck the fear of God in me, so I never went through with it. I personally don't know enough about potential issues, but to newmbmarko's point, how will you pass inspection? I live in a province where yearly emissions tests are not mandatory, but if a cop pulls you over for a suspected emissions issue (he notices all the extra smoke from your tailpipes), he will force you to a pass an emissions test within 48 hours, which will result in a huge fine if you don't pass.

Yea emission test in SA is something that doesn't exist. Your car can smoke as much as it wants. The land is going to craps at this stage. A lot of the times we have something called "loadshedding" which basically cuts of the power to a certain area for about 2 hours. Some places even has up to 6 hours without any power. It's pathetic how its being run.

Our president sucks so bad that he can't even pronounce a big figure on national TV. Just youtube it Then he build a massive 250 million rand (so that's about 25 Million USD house and his pool was implemented because it is a firepool. So if there's a fire he can jump in the pool.. Really WTF.. This is how limited their knowledge are and he's getting away with this...

Anyway, so decat lol.. That's no problem here.

I'll do the vid on 60/80/120. You can hear the car is a bit more sporty if you drive on the same level of speed but there's no droning noise like I had in my previous cars so that's really nice. But as soon as you punch it.. OOoooohhh it does sound nice I would however like a bit more popping sound when I release the gas (like in my Focus ST that I had) and then just not sure if it's a bit to much of a tin sound??

that doesn't sound loud at all while cruising love it I like what you've done. Thanks for the video.

I can't remove cats as its illegal where i live but maybe an x-pipe or straight pipe will make mine sound a bit louder.

Yea removing the cats does make the car stink a little but my 1 cat started giving me errors and Mercedes charged me way too much to replace it. So I decided let's remove it and if its not nice then I'll replace it. And well don't think I'll replace it

But yes, when cruising it isn't loud. Think the 7 Speed gearbox helps in that regard as it shifts down quick to low rpm's
