After driving this car for about a year, i found this odd button on the side of both the drivers and passengers seat. I have no idea what it does just that when pushed up or down the light in the middle of the button lights up. It is by the lumber adjuster buttons. Anyone know what this does? I have never seen anything like it.

That is a rocker switch for aftermarket heated seats.

Looks like an aftermarket heated seat kit was added to your car.

No, you activate that when you press, and hold, the hazard light switch.

VIN number wouldn't tell you anything about that switch, as it's not OEM. A lot of dealers use that same heated seat kit as an aftermarket up-sell. Factory heated switches for W204's are only mounted on the dash, near the radio.
