Xenon to non-xenon

Hello everyone!

I currently have a 2011 c300 with xenon headlights
I got into a front end accident, I started to buy the facelift parts

when looking to buy 2012-2014 headlights, all the non xenon headlights say they won't fit original xenon models.

It's extremely difficult to find xenon lights and extremely expensive!

I was hoping to buy non xenon headlights and getting a hid kit? Will I be able to do this?

Those are for facelift models and won't work with your 2011

I did the same thing. Converted 2009 to 2014 facelift. I bought the Depo headlights from Unique style racing and had great customer service. I didn't want to risk messing up the headlight wiring, so I had them professionally wired. I would contact DEPO and the retailer you are purchasing from to get more information on the headlights. The halogen units I bought had projectors but used HIGH beam 9006/9005 bulbs.

But did your car 2009 originally have xenon?

Getting him professionally installed is not a issue!

I'm kinda worried as the ad says won't fit factory xenon

No, I had halogens previously. I'm sorry I did not specify. I remember that they were plug n play for facelift factory xenon only.

You should be able to make it work. Your wiring will still be standard plugs so you'll need an H7 HID conversion kit.

I'll be sure to note that light output seems weak with the 35w HID's I used to replace the high beam strength bulbs that I had in before. Possibly because I had 3000K halogen bulbs vs the 6000K HID bulbs, and the higher kelvin would possibly decrease distance and visibility. Even with projector housing, I feel the headlights were designed for high beam strength bulbs for low beam use. I already paid to have HIDs installed shortly after they wired the headlights so I can't easily swap and compare. I even bought 5000K bulbs to replace the 9005's already in place for low beams...still kinda wish I could see the difference.
