Squeaky sunroof
Hi guys - anyone know what's the proper way to lubricate either the rails or perhaps the wheels on a W204 sunroof? I'm hearing some intermittent squeaking when I open close mine. If you've done this before and can help with a how-to and what lubricant to use, I'd really appreciate that. Thanks!

Here is a decent tutorial on how to clean and lube the tracks.
One thing you'll need is the paste/lube/grease for the tracks. He states in the video that you can use Mobile 1 synthetic lube but I purchased what the dealership used. Its a large tub and a bit costly but I don't like to take short cuts and play it safe. I've read here on the forums that theres other grease/lubes you need prior to the application. I'm still figuring that out but here are the part numbers and nomenclature.
001 98946 51 (paste, this what you lube your tracks with)
001 989 50 51 (grease)
000 989 36 60 (mold lube)
The last two is what I'm confused about. I was told by the dealer that part number 001 989 50 51 is now 000 989 36 60 due to part numbers and item change. Like I said I'm still figuring it out but this should give you a good start. If you figure anything out, keep me in the loop.
