Engine shut off while parking?

Engine shut off while parking?
Good morning MB.
Searched around for threads and closest I could find was the EIS issue, but don't think this is.
I was just parallel parking and backing up when I hit the gas a bit and next thing you know the engine just cut off, literally just shut down, but all the lights and everything was on.
The steering wheel however did lock up like a normal car when the engine shuts down. I turned off the car and was able to turn it back on with no issues.
I also decided to turn it off and on again and it was fine,
Does anyone know what this could be? Car is still pretty new with 53K miles on it only. I picked it up used from a dealer.

check into the ESL & EIS.....maybe going out!!! ~$1200 to repair......
