I have a 2008 C350 with panoramic sunroof. My sunroof shade is not closing under my sunroof. The glass rolls back perfectly and closes perfectly. However the sun shade is stuck in the open position. When I go to click the button to close the sunshade all I hear is on small click and nothing else.

Never had any intermittent issues with the sunroof glass or the shade. One day I opened the sunroof. The glass and shade both rolled back. When I went to close the sunroof only the glass closed and the shades never moved again.

Any help with this would be great. Thanks.

I have the same issue w/my E350 Coupe; it happened to me last night.

Just spontaneously shattered at highway speeds. No cars around us and no overpasses so unlikely to have been road debris. Sounded like a gunshot and glass flew everywhere inside while I was driving with my son and his buddy. Fortunately no one was hurt.
