Had one in mine from the factory. The phone cradle / holder has to be slid backwards to release. You may have to press a button on the phone cradle. Its simple, quick and very easy. A new iPhone 5 cradle will slide straight on. Don't think there's an iPhone 6 cradle yet / if it would even fit, given the size of the phone.

If your car has bluetooth and this cradle then the correct new iPhone cradle will connect via bluetooth too. My iPone 5S does, no problem

No, not this button. Its just a release button for the phone thats intended to clip into this cradle. There may or may not be a release button. I just checked my iPhone cradle and there isn't one on it, although it won't come out easily. The way to remove is to push the cradle back towards the rear of the car - not lifting it until its free of the small connecting "puck" that connects it to the car's system. My cradle was purchased from Comand UK, but its a genuine MB part.

Edit. Just noticed on the original phone cradle instructions that there IS a button to release before removal. Its near the front of the cradle on the left side, under where the phone itself would fit into position. Sorry haven't got any further part number details of the iPhone cradle. Details at www.comand.co.uk though (or the local MB dealer).

Removing Iphone holder
Hi guys,

I bought my car with the iphone holder in the center console and I'd like to get rid of it. Do you have any idea how to do it? The car is C220 CDI 2012, so it looks a little bit different then in the video currently on this site.

Thanks,
Mike
