C300 battery removal problems
I recently replaced the battery in my 2008 Mercedes C 300. Then the problems came. First problem. Engine light is on. Second, Air bag lite stays on. Third, a message on the dash that states, right front SRS malfunction. And last but certainly not the least. My engine fan runs on hi as soon as the vehicle is started. It stays on till you shut the car off. I took it to a garage that has done any work on the vehicle, all minor things. He then told me to take it to the dealer that he couldn't get into something or another. I am reluctant to take it to the MB dealer around here because I have heard nightmare stories of them over charging and dishonest business practices. Is there something else that can be done. Thank you so much

After 92 reads & no advice I thought I could offer a couple of thoughts :-
Often spurious electrical problems are caused by a weak battery. I wonder whether the battery is the correct one for the job , whether it has a fault (cell) & also whether it has been installed correctly ie terminals clean & tight ?.
The correct battery is 70 amp hours capacity & above & Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) type.
SAMS can be damaged by incorrect installation ie the ignition key not turned off & removed & terminal arcing. Who did your installation? .
I would take it back to an auto electrician for battery testing & installation checking .
Interested to know how you go.

I am afraid you will have to visit the dealer or independent repairer. they need to plug in their propriety star OBD 2 tester and reset the ECU to clear all the faults. here in Australia it costs $105
