2009 c300 ecu tune

For $600ish would it really show what the ecu tune would do to the car? I know you will get at least 10 hp and 10 lb of torque and will delete the throttle lag of the car but if you will put those numbers and effect into simple words how is it really?

I am thinking of spending this kind of money first before even thinking of getting another car as right now I am pretty happy with the c300 I have but wish I have a better responsive (throttle wise) car. I don't need another 60 or 100 hp as I won't be able to use all of it anyway.

No pedal booster for me as that cost around $300ish and it only cheats you.

I know this might be hard to explain on what a tiny upgrade feels like but since I can't find anyone local here in Vancouver who has done one and can even drive or be in a passenger seat to "test drive" the upgrade it is hard for me to convince myself if I just fork up and pay that amount and hope for the best.

Thanks!

Not worth it to try and make this car faster. Other than an X-pipe, I don't see any performance upgrades worthwhile.

Only modifications I'd consider on a c300 are cosmetic and interior. Wheels, tint, spoilers and call it a day.

I did an ECU tune from OE Tuning for $600. No downtime at all. They send you a MyGenius device which you plug into your OBD2 port. You download a file from there and send it to them. In return they send you a few modified files which you can then upload.

I've been running this tune for about 2 months now and while it didn't make a HUGE difference it was definitely noticeable. Torque band starts much lower and you have power right after going up a gear. Throttle response is much better as well.

Thanks! I will order one next week and hopefully I will be happy about it.

BTW...is there a big difference between the C and S mode with this tune? Both of our cars do retain the S setting not like the newer models and I have not driven my car in C for almost 1.5 years now.

I really don't want the car to be faster but I want better response. I already have the cosmetics you mentioned + an x-pipe which gives a momentary smile on my face then when I hit the pedal more to overtake somebody that smile goes away because of the lag. In a way I kinda learned how to anticipate the car and use the manual mode but I find that irritating when I want a relaxing and engaging drive with the car.
