Driver side seat tear covered under CPO Warranty?

Noticed over the weekend that I have a small tear in my drivers side seat. When I run my finger over the hole I can still feel a few strands of thread holding on for dear life before it gets larger. I'm not sure if I am still covered under the factory warranty (I might be until mid-month just have to check) but if not I still have my CPO warranty until next year. Is this something that is covered under one or the other, or both warranties? I've read around some other threads but can't seem to come to a consensus as they were for older cars without warranties on them for the threads I've read or for different models. If I am not covered, what is the best route to go to fix this tear? Something that is going to cost me another arm or leg?

I doubt that would be covered. There are many potential causes of upholstery rips/tears, with most being caused by some outside force- rather than a factory defect.

My best recommendation would be to bring the car to a good local auto upholstery shop. They should be able to repair and likely strengthen the area to avoid the same issue down the road.

I would recommend bringing it in first to your nearest dealership for them to determine if covered by CPO/factory warranty or not. If that fails then go to an upholstery shop as suggested.

Cracks on the MB Tex is definitely covered. I had both seat covers on my 2012 GLK350 replaced while under factory warranty. I also had the driver seat cover on my 2009 C300 replaced under factory warranty.

If the tear is along the stitching it will be covered under warranty even the CPO warranty will cover that. My driver seat has a tear right now along the stitches and my car is out of warranty so I need to fork out $300 for the cover and another $300 for installation.

Awesome, thanks for all of your responses! Looks like I will be calling my SA when I get out of work to schedule a time to take her in and get looked at. Hopefully they will fix a few other minor things that I've noticed as well.
