I realize this problem may be posted but couldn't find it when searching so here is my issue.
We recently purchased a 2011 C350. The check engine light came on then went out after I checked fuel filler cap - likely co-incidence. Engine light back on, OBD2 code reads misfire cylinder 3. 58,000 miles on car, replaced plugs, also swapped coils between cylinder 1 & 3. Check engine light still on, still reads misfire cylinder 3.
Any thoughts? I will be taking car in for B service and thought I'd get some information beforehand.
Thanks. I like the information I see here, I use forums for information when working on my Boxster and I will be using this one going forward for my wife's MB.

I used to own a BMW 335i, one (or two?) of six cylinders misfired. The mechanic at BMW dealer replaced all six Direct Injections (DI) because the "old design" DI were leaking fuel inside the combustion chamber.
I think maybe you have issues with fuel injection or direct injection??
