3 Week CPO Pitted Windshield glass - what to do?

Hi Everyone,

So I purchased a 2013 C250 CPO 3 weeks ago, and after washing the car I noticed that there are various small pits throughout the the windshield glass, which are more apparent when the sun directly hits the windshield. There are two in particular that are on the driver's field of vision. I am sure that such pits could have not occurred within the past 3 weeks. I had none on my accord of 7 years. Should these be a matter that I should have the dealer look into?, my auto insurance? Ive already done some research and it appears that the only way to get rid of such pits is by having the windshield replaced. This situation has been frustrating, please help. Thanks

Best to check with your insurance about how much they'll cover. Its pretty pricey for an oem windshield.

That's interesting; I have a 2012 C250 (60k miles, mine for 3 months) that has the same issue. The windshield is as pitted as a 200k-mile car. I know glass is thinner these days (to save weight), but this is a little ridiculous.
Mine is also a CPO car, but I don't have much hope for a warranty replacement. My selling dealer is 'okay' for service but led me to believe that if there isn't a definite mechanical issue, the CPO warranty won't cover it.

I have a brand new c300 2014 and I'm reaching out 60 000km. I started to found my windshield pitted at 50 000km. On my previous Benz, a got that situation at over 250 000km. I will stop by my dealer to see what they have say about that!
