I'm in the same boat myself. I grabbed a set of AZN's LED's for my eyelids, and two of the bulbs burned out rather quick. AZN was quick to help out, and sent me replacements, but shortly after I installed the new bulbs, one of the other bulbs that I had originally bought had gone out. So that's 3 out of 4 bulbs that have failed on me.. I know AZN would probably help out again, but at this point I just want lights that I don't have to deal with every month. So, I'm looking for normal bulbs.

So in saying that, does anyone know of good bulbs to put in my eyelids that still have the same color tone as a 5000k LED bulb?

To be honest, some vehicles are more problematic than others. The challenge is there's only so much space to work with on LED chips that you can't build something robust enough to handle extreme conditions or high level surging. The new V5 we have packs as much as we can technology wise to handle majority of cases and the failure rate we're tracking at 2% currently which also includes shipping damage, component failure, and external factors (water damage, surging, corrosion, drop). We're looking at some redesigns where units are encapsulated which helps prevent moisture damage from unsealed sections, but you can't encapsulate the resistor due to heat. Minor surge protection circuitry has been integrated, but we can't put in a larger pulse resistor because there's no room on the chip so the only way to shield it from electrical surges on vehicles that have heavy electrical issues is to wire in external pulse resistors.

I will say that vast majority of our customers enjoy multiple years of use of our units without any issues, but it's that 2% we're always on the look out to take care of.

And regarding that Morimoto unit, as authorized retailers, we've seen those up close and they're an earlier iteration of our V5 design without the constant current IC drives built in.

For sure, and I appreciate all the design and troubleshooting that went into the LED's. I guess I'm part of that 2% which is a bummer, because your lights look D@nk on my car. I might try again once ya'lls new design comes out, but as for the lights I currently have, they all burn out the same way. They flicker constantly for about 2-3 days, and then stop illumination all together. Though I believe the bulbs still draw current as it's a toss up if I get the alert on my instrument cluster. Hope that helps which the next design :/

Actually I have a theory... can you shoot me pics of the faulty unit from the first batch? I think it might be solder related contact issue at the base resistor.
