Replacing foglamps/headlights on a 2009 C300 Sport.

Hey everyone,

I just bought a C300 that was my mother's vehicle. Unfortunately, it still has the ugly yellowish lights of yesteryear. I was looking to replace the foglights with some new white H7s but quickly thought that I may as well replace them all while I am at it just for cohesion sake.

I am looking for some white lights. It is my understanding that H7s will fit for my foglights. Do these same H7s fit the headlights also? I have been doing as much research as I can but there just seems to be so much going on and so many different models and types it's rather confusing.

If anyone could give some advice or what I should be looking for I'd greatly appreciate it. I noticed a lot of people mentioning they liked the Phillips Crystal Vision? I am looking for white lights that are 5000k?

Thanks for any help. I also included a picture so everyone can see my new car! So happy to be joining you all!

I have a 2010 C250 - It's H7 for High beams, low beams and fogs. I've replaced them all with Sylvania Silver Star Ultras - It's not xenon, but it's very white light without that cheapish look of blue halogens.

Ok. All the same wattage/temperature? Fogs use the same H7 as the low beams/high beams? Any recommendations on the best place to purchase them?

And thanks for the reply!

Yes, fogs use the same 55W H7 as the low&high beams.

Careful with the white halogen bulbs. They are white only because the manufacturer painted them with blue (all are eventually the same, be them Philips, Osram or anyone else). This means increased heat in the housing, which is not good for the fogs, as they are small and quite airtight, so they overheat and risk deforming quite easily. Keep us posted if you do go ahead

Yup, Fogs/High/Low beams all use H7 bulbs. Personally I've been completely fine using Sylvania Silverstar Ultras which are "white" lights, for all the bulbs. Haven't had a single issue for more than a year now

yes, many halogen bulbs have colored bulb to tint the output light color to white. Problem with doing this is it reduces lumens so you're not as bright as you should be. City driving they might be ok with well illuminated roads. Halogen bulbs just cannot achieve temps high enough to achieve true white color. HIDs are the better option when looking at aethetic and performance.
