Rear seats chnage

Hi All

new to the forum and new to the world of MB.

i have just bought a used c220 (pick up on saturday). i knew the rear seats were fixed but i have been looking to see if they can be changed to folding rear seats. i cant find the simple answer anywhere.

does anybody know if this is possible and where i would go to get it done.

thanks in advance.

Craig

Welcome to the forum. A few of us have converted to folding seats and you can find DIY instructions from yours truly and others on this thread:

This was the one of my biggest beef with MB and the w204.... making folding rear seats an upgrade option.... Really screwing with the customer on this... That and cheap door pins

Definitely worth switching out and not too difficult a DIY, but I had my shop do it for me.

+1.
I didn't have much choice as the manual transmission trumped any options for me. At least there are plenty of folding seats, auto dim mirrors, nice door pins, etc. out there for those willing to giving upgrades a shot.

Try car-part.com
It is an online salvage yard clearinghouse. I have found good, cheap parts for my car, my 60 year old Chevy and my neighbors old Honda without much effort.
