Flip screen

Hello,
Is it possible to leave the screen up when you turn the car off? I'm not a fan of the open/close system, as my unit sometimes decides not to open...is there something I'm doing wrong to not make it pop up when starting the car - it always goes away when shut off, but has its own mind when being started to open or not...
1) can you set it to just stay open all the time?
2) is there something that has to be done with push start to make screen work (hold button longer or shorter time when starting?)

Kind regards,
Ryan

Hi!
I think you have a option to leave the screen open always even if you remove keys from ignition. Just access Comand secret engineering menu.
Put key in position 1.
Press red hang up, #, and 1 all at the same time in the dash.
Then search for that option.

I have accessed this, but can't seem to find the option for screen to stay open; can anyone give exact instructions?

Well, i have checked the menu and in fact there is no option for that. I was confusing with the option "Display Haptics - moveable / fixed" but that as nothing to do with the display opening.
My best bet is to have some one to check it throught Star diagnosis and see if there is any option for what you want.
Good luck!

It keeps getting stuck in the middle of opening and then I have to turn the power on and off until it fully opens...anyone else have this problem? What was the solution? Can they just be serviced, or does the whole system need to be replaced?

Did you try to reset the NTG4 Comand? You can reset in frontend going to System; or go to engineering menu and reset from there. Or pull the fuse. The fuse is in main fusebox under bonnet. Fuse 11 7.5Amps.

Another sugestion i can give to you is remove the comand and check the connectors in the back. Its easy, but i think its not a faulty connection.
Every other things work? Radio? Gps? Etc?

Or it could be some debris in the mecanics?!

Can you give me direction to reset the NTG4, as I'm not even sure what that stands for?
Everything actually works; radio plays, but the screen gets stuck sometimes at half open, or sometimes it only rises an inch.

Actually I HAD to do this as my screen has some faulty sensor that made the screen flip in and out 20+ times before it decided to stay open.

You take the upper screen unit out (very easy to do), and at the top left corner as you are looking at it from above, you will see an opening with a vertically aligned metal rod/pin in it..this pin moves up and down..disconnecting the drive mechanism. You now need to physically move the screen to it's full open position.
Put everything back and your screen now stays deployed
