IS THE 2011 ...

Is the 2011 c300 prone to ESL problems???
I have a one year old battery, got in the car nothing happened.
Tried my headlights and nothing. Jumped the car and after couple minutes
it started. It only has 36k miles. Sucks. Since there is no recall,,,,... I'm going to get national news attention on this matter My 2006 325i
has over 100k miles not one mechanical problem.

When doing my research prior to purchasing my 2011 C300 Sport, EIS/ESL issues were a concern of mine.

Some have reported the part was changed after 2010, others have reported all models are effected. Maybe the part was changed for 2011 and up or maybe 4 years is too short for the part to fail.

Personally, I'm not sure what is the final verdict. Others may have a more definitive answer for you.

I resigned myself to thinking, it is a part, it will fail, be prepared to replace @ up to $2,000 for the service. BUT the replacement part better fix the problem for a very, very long time or I will be very angry!!
