Mercedes C300 Sport 2014
Mod build thread

I just got a 2014 Mercedes C300 yesterday. I was looking to to some mods on it. First is the X pipe and other small things will come after I move. But my question is, i was thinking of changing the headlights/taillights. What do you guys recommend and ones that dont require having to change the hood/trunk or anything else? And for the headlights, HIDs recommendations?
Thank you guys, glad to be part of the MB side.

I will update and post pictures soon.

I can't tell what year you have from the mobile site so not sure what headlights to recommend. As for hid systems, you can't go wrong with Morimotos which are sold by our local vendor Azn Optics. You might also want to consider the Morimotos led bulbs.

If you have a 2014 it means you have the facelifted version which means there is no different style of headlight you can have. Now if your original headlights are the halogen yellow ones you can get the aftermarket HID replica of the OEM Bixenon. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Halogen-Non-...NV~3~6&vxp=mtr

Taillights there is really not much you can do other than get an aftermarket one with a different style of LED.

yea not much you can do with the tails they already look dope. I've seen some people tint theirs to make it darker, or solid red.

A couple questions on that kit:

Do the existing LED DRLs work in conjunction with these?

Is there a flash to pass function? Usually HIDs have too much warm up time. But I'm not sure if the factory lights even have that feature.

Actually, looking at the photos a little more closely it looks like the answers are yes to both questions. It looks like there is a halogen bulb between the projector and DRL. But it looks as if it's also just a halogen based projector.

Yes, it works just like OEM Bixenons except that you won't have the Intelligent Lighting System or turning light.

Given these are halogen can you directly swap them out for HID bulbs and blasts?

It comes with halogen cause they are cheap and they don't want to raise the price to include HIDs. I don't have one of those, but a lot of people do and they use Xenons and would be kind of weird if you couldn't anyways.
