Does anyone know how many gears does my 2008 c300 3.0 v6 has?
I always thought is 6 gears (Forward)as i never seen in up to 7 on manual mode.
But i just noticed there is a 7g tronic transmission so I'm confused.

For the automatic it is 7 gears. The 7th is Overdrive and you cannot manually shift into it.

If it's automatic, there's 7. The 7th gear will just display as "D" instead of "D7" on the dash, that's all. Also if you're in "C" mode, you start from 2nd gear

Anyone knows when the 7th gear engage? When I'm driving at 80km(50mph) and i drop it to manual, it displays 5th gear, so I'm assuming i was at 6th where it drops one gear on manual mode. When i switch it back to D, i can only fell one gear up shift. Never felt there was a 7th gear. I guess my speed was just to low to engage into 7th?
